Our 1st graders visited the Litton Ag Center today. The Chillicothe FFA visited CES earlier in the year to help students plant flower seeds. Then the FFA cared for those seeds at their greenhouse. Today, first graders got to repot our mature Mother’s Day Flowers. We also got to visit the animals and pond. Thanks Chillicothe FFA!

Chillicothe Elementary Schools welcomes Miss Gabi Hall as a new 2nd-grade teacher! Gabi is a graduate of Carrollton R-VII in 2020 and has just graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. During her time at Northwest, she worked for an elementary school's after-school care program, was a student ambassador, and held an executive position with her sorority, focusing on teaching members about their history and values. Miss Hall enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with family! At home, she has two corgis, Lucy and Laney, that she loves to talk about. Miss Hall is a familiar face at Field School as a student teacher. "I am so grateful to continue my teaching journey with Chillicothe R-2! This evening, CES hosted our first ever "Kindergarten Orientation." Approximately 90 future Hornets attended along with their families to learn more about attending CES. Students visited the playground, had cookies in the cafeteria and were able to sit on the school bus before departing. We look forward to having the Class of 2037 as kindergartners in August!
