Lincoln from Miss. Howard's class gave his party ring from a birthday cupcake to another student who had lost theirs. The other student was upset and Lincoln wanted to cheer him up!
Stella from Mrs. Reeter's class picked up all the paper towels that were on the floor by the restroom trash cans!
Matrim from Mrs. Ward's class handed out cookies to staff and as he did he said "I hope this fills your bucket today!"
Santa from the North Pole greeted each student at CES this morning and he even listened to every students' Christmas wishes!

Chillicothe R-II Schools will dismiss classes early on Friday, Dec. 15th for the holiday break. School will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024. From all of us at Chillicothe R-II, we wish everyone a safe and blessed holiday break!
Staley Lowrey is CES' "Let Your Kind Shine" recipient for this week! Staley is empathetic and includes everyone at recess, lunch or in Miss Snyder's 1st grade class. Her love for our school and the people inside CES is contagious! Well done, Miss Staley!!! ☀️☀️☀️
Several elementary school students visited the new storage building this (Thursday) afternoon at the Jerry Litton Memorial Stadium, to try out sample school furniture under consideration for the new CES expansion project. Their expertise is very much appreciated!

Raymond from Mrs. Bonderer's class has been pushing chairs into tables for students that forgot, to make sure we don't trip. So thoughtful!
Skylar from Mrs. Ewbank's class was very caring to a student who had fallen down at recess. He checked on the student and helped him up! Great job!
Collin from Mrs. Black's class saw that his friend had lost/forgot his glove on the bus. So he made sure to grab it and took it straight to a classroom teacher so they could return it to it's owner!
Tyson from Miss. Holcer's class filled Mrs. Naugle's bucket by telling her that she was going to be on Santa's Nice List for helping others stay out of trouble.

Our 1st Graders had a "Beary" sweet holiday program on Thursday evening. "Bears at Christmas" was lead by our music teacher, Miss Ruthie Vinson. Thank you to everyone who attended and cheered on our little bears!
Our second annual "Deck the Doors" was a wonderful event! Over 55 parents showed up to surprise our K & 1st graders with festive decorations! The students were so elated as you can see from the pictures. Thank you to Mrs. Allen for arranging this fun event and to all of our CES families for your dedication to our children!
"Bears Stay Up for Christmas" will be performed tonight at 6 PM. Students should arrive at 5:45 PM. We can't wait to see everyone!
