Feel free to share your child’s Warrior Wednesday pictures from today! Don’t forget, tomorrow is PJ Day—let’s get comfy and cozy!

Thank you to Dr. Mitch Holder and the Chillicothe R-2 Board of Education for the thoughtful holiday gift for our faculty and staff. Your kindness and support mean so much to CES! While our board representative, Clint Williams, was unable to attend, we value his leadership as well as our school board president and as our board representative.

Our Jingle and Grow i-Ready Dance Party was a huge success! A special congratulations to our song leaders with the most growth, who selected a holiday song for their grade-level dance. Kudos also to all our students for putting forth their best effort and our Student Leadership Team for planning such a fun event!

Congratulations to our "Hard Working Hornets" in PE/Health for December!

Chillicothe Emergency Services, a proud Partner in Education with Mrs. Thompson's 4th-grade class, visited CES today to spread holiday cheer by creating ornaments with the students.

Congratulations to our CES teachers for their dedication to lifelong learning and professional growth! Our kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Hansen and Mrs. Holcer, recently earned their Master’s in Reading from Northwest Missouri State University. Fifth-grade teachers Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Jones achieved their Master’s in Mathematics, while second grade teacher, Ms. Myers will graduate over break with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. Balancing full-time teaching with graduate studies is no small feat, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and commitment to excellence!

Terrific Kids for December “Responsible”

Miss Teeter and Mrs. Reeter’s Kindergarteners embraced their inner Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles during a fun and engaging fitness activity in physical education class! Students trained by jumping and earning small turtle rewards based on their performance. Those who achieved 21 or more jumps proudly received the coveted Master Splinter turtle, symbolizing their dedication and effort. Meanwhile, in first grade, Mrs. Bonderer and Mrs. Howard’s students embarked on their journey to become skilled Ninjas. Using jump ropes, they showcased their stamina and agility, earning colorful “ninja rank” bracelets based on consecutive jumps. The ultimate achievement—a black belt bracelet—was awarded to students who completed 50 or more jumps without stopping, celebrating their determination and skill. Both activities inspired teamwork, perseverance, and a love for fitness in a creative and exciting way!
