CMS 7-8th Grade Bands and Choirs will perform their Winter Concert tonight, December 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the PAC. They have worked very hard to prepare this concert with plenty of songs to get you in the holiday spirit!

A BIG thank you to everyone who helped with the Dave Kinen Classic! It was a very successful tournament that included 10 total teams. It took a LOT of volunteers to make it run that smoothly, and you are very appreciated. A special shout out to Tucker Slattery for winning his bracket!

Boys take 2nd place
The 7th grade went on the road to the Cameron tournament championship. The Hornets went up early on in the game 11-4. But East Buchanan battled back and took the lead by halftime. The second half was back and fourth until East Buchanan made a layup late in the fourth to go up by 1 with 30 seconds left in the game. The next Hornets possessions was a turnover to a East Buchanan layup to put them up by 3 to end the game. The final score was 36-33. The Hornets will travel to the Centralia tournament on Tuesday.

Chillicothe 8th grade Lady Hornets fell 21-20 in a middle school overtime barn burner. Hornets fought hard, but Hamilton hit 9/21 free throws in a frustrating, foul plagued game. Emerson Staton led all scorers with 12, Maicee Albrecht 6 and Charley Peniston 2. Olivia Jenkins pulled down boards until she got hammered on a shot and jammed her finger. Lydia Gabrielson and Hayden Hansen did great defensively and helped take care of the ball. Hornet Hoops is next weekend to wrap the season up!
Chillicothe 8th grade Hornets fell 35-26 to the Hamilton Hornets at the CMS Fieldhouse.
