Larry Reeter has been one of our awesome bus drivers at Chillicothe R-II Schools for 10 years! This year, he’s driving a country route on Bus 7 every day.
He says there are a few reasons he likes driving a bus for Chillicothe R-II. “I like helping out the school, working with the students, and I like the flexibility of the scheduling, too,” Larry said.
Larry is retired from Farmers Electric Cooperative, where he worked for 42 and a half years as a lineman. He also served in the Army National Guard for nine years and has held the position of assistant pastor at Calvary Baptist Church since 1991. Larry said he actually started out driving a school bus in 2004 after retiring from FEC, driving buses for Livingston County R-III (Chula), Tina-Avalon, and Chillicothe, until he was hired for full-time employment with Chillicothe R-II Schools.
Larry and his wife Pat Meneely Reeter, have been married for 61 years. They have two children: Eric Reeter and Connie Martin; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He says he enjoys preaching, visiting folks in the hospital and nursing homes, and visiting with friends.
