Chillicothe R-II is now the proud owner of a brand new, 71-passenger bus, which was recently delivered by Central States Bus Sales. The District bought the $96,980 bus with Volkswagen grant funds and a $36,000 District match. We hope our students enjoy their new ride!

The CHS Drama Department won a national competition to produce Disney's "Frozen" March 23-26. They are in need of a Young Anna and Young Elsa for the cast. Mrs. Lisa Rule, the high school drama teacher, would like to have auditions for those characters on Friday, January 13 at 3:30 in the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center. Girls between 2nd and 5th grades are welcome to audition. They will need to be prepared to tell a joke, read half a page of script (not rehearsed), and sing about 30 seconds of "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" Girls who audition should be able to practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 p.m. from January 16 until the show dates. A parent should accompany each auditioning child and should remain with the child until auditions are finished (about two hours). If you have any questions, then please direct them to Mrs. Rule at lrule@chillicotheschools.org.

From all of us at Dewey Elementary,
