Welding Technology is a program that is open to all high school graduates or equivalent or to juniors and seniors of our sending schools. Those who are juniors and seniors will attend class three hours daily for two years to receive a full certificate. Post-High students will attend six and three-quarter hours per day for nine months to complete the program's 1080 hours of instruction.
Advanced Welding Technology is a program open to Post-High only with a prerequisite of completion of the Industrial Welding program. Post-High students will attend six and a half hours per day for nine months to complete the program's 1080 hours of instruction. The advanced course is designed for students to delve deeper into the different welding and cutting processes as well as help students obtain additional certifications.

High-tech manufacturing processes using newly developed materials have created a greater need than ever before for skilled and experienced welders. A career in welding can lead you to a variety of industries and locations. Hands-on training allows you to learn the craft through experience and the diversity of this career keeps work life interesting.
Welding plays an important role in the expansion and production of our industries. Graduates of this program will be ready for the challenge of this ceaselessly growing field.
You may find a specialized career in the welding field since anything that is metal can be welded. The world of welding can lead to employment in the automotive industry, building bridges, pipelines, manufacturing, and steel construction. Welding really is the backbone of our world. There is not an industry that does not utilize welding.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that as of May 2021, the nation's median wage for Welders was $45,800-$87,900 dependent upon which career you enter into.
Employment of welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers is projected to grow 8 percent from 2020 to 2030, about as fast as the average for all occupations. About 49,200 openings for welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers are projected each year, on average, over the decade according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
