On Monday, February 10, 2025, the Chillicothe R-II School District will conduct active shooter response training in collaboration with local emergency agencies, including the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, Chillicothe Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Missouri Department of Conservation, Chillicothe Fire Department, and Hedrick Medical Center. This training will occur in the afternoon at Chillicothe High School, simulating an actual emergency to practice and evaluate response plans.
Please be aware that the area around the high school will have numerous emergency response vehicles, and public access will be restricted during the training. Chillicothe Schools will not be in session that day, as it is a Professional Development training day for staff.
