CES Snapshots Our first full week back and our students are already off to a fantastic start - reconnecting with friends, engaging with staff, having fun, staying active, and growing their minds! We're excited to see attendance at 95.4% this week and we couldn't be happier to be with our students!

“Let Your Kind Shine” Kindness is everywhere at CES! The three recipients of this week's awards were nominated by a teacher or staff member for showing exceptional kindness. They received a sunshine bag and the opportunity to sit in the yellow sunshine chair over the next week to promote kindness throughout CES! Laura Leatherman (Mrs. Wolf's 1st grade) Laura has a kind considerate heart. She makes cards and pictures for friends or teachers that are not feeling well. Laura considers others before herself and goes out of her way to make others feel special or loved.
Khloe Murphy (Mrs. Daugherty’s 2nd Grade) Always caring about others. She cheers them on and shows excitement for others' accomplishments. Always helps others when they are sad, by giving them a pat on the back or a hug. Such a sweet, caring girl. So proud of her! Nakiya Shaul (Mrs. Beck’s 4th Grade) Nakiya is new to our school this year. She has fit right in with our 4th grade family. Kiya is a friend to all. She especially loves helping others with class work when they don't understand. She is awesome!

A heartfelt thank you to Staff Sergeant Rollins (not pictured) and Staff Sergeant Sullivan for their dedication and support over the past two years with Warrior Wednesday. We are thrilled to extend a warm CES welcome to Staff Sergeant Santoso and Staff Sergeant Nation as they join our CES family in continuing this meaningful tradition.
We loved seeing our staff and students proudly supporting our military and emergency responders today in their red, white, blue, and camouflage! Your enthusiasm and spirit truly make a difference!

Mr. Rennells, Curator of the Grand River Historical Society Museum,
visited Mrs. Anderson's class on Monday. He brought toys from the past ranging from 40 years to well over 100 years old. The students were able to have a mini museum in the classroom and play with a few of the museum exhibits.

Tomorrow, January 15th, we will honor our emergency responders and military at CES! Along with your warm winter coats, hats, and gloves, consider wearing red, white, blue, or camouflage to show your support!

National Rubber Duck Day
CES celebrated National Rubber Duck Day on Monday with a fun-filled scavenger hunt! Students/staff searched the building for hidden rubber ducks and shared their finds with teachers and staff members. Congratulations to our “Top Ducks” for collecting the most ducks! A big thank you to all CES staff for keeping hope afloat every day! 🐤

Thankful Thursday at CES! We were grateful to have the opportunity to be in school for at least one day this past week.
