📣 Happy National PTO Day! 📣 Today we celebrate and thank our incredible Chilli MO PTO Executive Board (pictured) and all of our dedicated members! ❤️ Your time, energy, and heart make a huge difference for our students, staff, and school community—and we truly couldn’t do it without you. ✨ Want to get involved? Join us for our next PTO meeting on November 13 at 5:30 PM at CES. Together, we can make amazing things happen for our kids and our school! 🙌

🌱 Our first graders are little gardeners in action! Thanks to our Farm Bureau Grant, they planted lettuce, spinach, and radishes in our raised garden—and today they got to taste test their harvest. 🥬🥗 Yum!

Next week is Homecoming Spirit Week!

Hornet High Five Overall Winners this week! (Plus one positive bus referral!)

Friday lunches with our Partners in Education are always a highlight of the week! A huge thank you to all of our community partners for joining us and to Mrs. Jana Shira for her outstanding coordination of the program.

🚜⚠️ Farm Safety
Our 4th grade CES students visited the Litton Campus this week to participate in interactive learning stations focused on farm safety. They gained valuable lessons on water safety, grain bin safety, poison awareness, and several other important topics.
A big thank you to all the educators, volunteers, and guest speakers who made this event possible—and a special thanks to coordinator Cathy Ripley from the Livingston County Health Center for arranging this valuable experience! 👏
As a reminder, September is National Farm Safety and Health Month—a great time to reinforce these important safety practices at home and in our community.

We were delighted to have our education partners join us for lunch today. What a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with so many supportive community businesses!

✨ Our 3rd Grade Postal Pal Program is officially underway! ✨ Today, our volunteer pals met with students for a special face-to-face introduction before beginning their letter exchanges throughout the 2025–26 school year. We’re excited to see the friendships, learning, and connections that will grow through this wonderful program! 💌📬

Student Leadership Team Elections coming soon!

CES kicked off our first “Warrior Wednesday” of the school year with a special visit from the Chillicothe Police Department!
Students were greeted at arrival by members of the department, as well as Staff Sergeant Santoso, who helped start the day with encouragement and positivity. We are grateful for the brave role models in our community who take the time to inspire and connect with our students.

👉 We’re proud to announce our September Terrific Kids, who exemplify the quality of being “Thoughtful.”

This month, CES will proudly celebrate Warrior Wednesday as we honor our troops, emergency responders, and veterans for their service and sacrifice. To show our appreciation, we invite all students and staff to participate by wearing red, white, and blue or camouflage on Warrior Wednesday.
Let’s come together as a school community to recognize and celebrate the heroes who keep us safe and free!
