More Hornet High Fives! ❤️
We sure enjoyed our visitors this week!
Overall Hornet High Five Winners: They went above and beyond by picking up trash, being excellent bus riders, helping friends with backpacks, assisting the substitute, and showing great manners during lunch.
Today, our high school leadership class, marching band, cheerleaders, and some football players hosted our first-ever K-5th grade pep rally at Jerry Litton Stadium. A big thank you to Mrs. Carly Carey and Mrs. Cavanaugh for having us! There was no shortage of school spirit among our elementary students!
In Coach Dixon’s Health and PE class, students are diving into the skeletal system. Our CES students even got to vote on a name for the class skeleton. Say hello to “Skelly”!
This morning, our incredible CES cooks at the Hornet Cafe served 346 breakfasts. Later, they prepared and served 510 lunches in just 90 minutes. Well done!
Good morning, Hornet family! We're excited to share that there will be no school on Monday as our dedicated staff will be enhancing their skills and knowledge through Professional Development classes. Enjoy your extended weekend!
Just a friendly reminder that, in celebration of Homecoming, Chillicothe R-II classes will be dismissed early today, Sept. 20th. CES will wrap up at 11:55 AM, CMS at 12:20 PM, and CHS at 12:10 PM. We hope to see you at the parade, which begins at 2 PM today! Let's Go Hornets!
This week, Hornet football players and cheerleaders visited CES during arrival and breakfast, bringing excitement and energy to our campus. School spirit is alive and well in Hornet Country!
On Wednesday, we had a fantastic afternoon welcoming our amazing supporters to CES for an Open House, where we showed off our newly expanded campus. We love our new addition, and this day wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of so many and the generosity of our community. We are deeply grateful! We would also like to thank Tammy Moore from Mad Batter for providing the amazing desserts for our guests.
Homecoming Week...Silly sock day!
CES 4th and 5th graders learned about farm safety today. Thank you to the Livingston County Health Center, Chillicothe FFA, and the many volunteers and agencies for providing this valuable experience!
We enjoyed a great afternoon as we opened the doors of CES after school and offered tours of our new addition to our amazing supporters at our Open House! Today would not have been possible without their efforts and the support of our generous community. We are deeply grateful.
Where are we going? Destination/Vacation Day for Homecoming Spirit Week!
Our awesome PTO arrived today for the grand opening of the "Hornet Hive" spirit shop! We are fortunate to have incredible supporters in our community who supplied Hornet gear and accessories. A special thanks to our numerous donors, including the Coach Lauren Way Foundation, for their generous purchase of Hornet tees! Today, a few students from each class were randomly selected to take home Hornet spirit items. Throughout the year, every K-5 student will get a chance to visit the Hornet Hive spirit shop. If you have gently used Hornet tees or hoodies, our PTO is accepting donations. It's a great day to be a HORNET!
