CES Student Leadership Team Elections
CES kicked off our first “Warrior Wednesday” of the school year with a special visit from the Chillicothe Police Department! Students were greeted at arrival by members of the department, as well as Staff Sergeant Santoso, who helped start the day with encouragement and positivity. We are grateful for the brave role models in our community who take the time to inspire and connect with our students.

This month, CES will proudly celebrate Warrior Wednesday as we honor our troops, emergency responders, and veterans for their service and sacrifice. To show our appreciation, we invite all students and staff to participate by wearing red, white, and blue or camouflage on Warrior Wednesday.

Let’s come together as a school community to recognize and celebrate the heroes who keep us safe and free!

✨ Our PTO proudly opened the Hornet Hive Spirit Shop today at CES! Every kindergartner, along with all new students, received a Hornet t-shirt—nearly 160 shirts in total!

A huge thank-you goes to Shannon Mason for coordinating the Hornet Hive, and to PTO parents Jordan Callison, Kayona Wever, and Erin Stoiber for helping spread Hornet Spirit throughout CES. We are grateful for your dedication and teamwork in making our school community shine!

Today is Patriots Day. It’s a day to remember and say thank you to our heroes—firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, and helpers who keep us safe. They are brave, and they take care of people when they need help. Let’s all give them a big thank you for being our everyday heroes!

On Thursday, September 11 (9/11), we will celebrate Patriot Day by honoring our first responders and American heroes. Students are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue as we welcome special visitors from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, Chillicothe Police Department, and Chillicothe Ambulance Department. Together, we will learn about their important work and show our appreciation for their service to our community and country.

Yesterday, Mrs. Eller, one of our front office secretaries, taught our 2nd grade WINGS students about growing plants. The students had just learned about photosynthesis in order to begin growing their own plants in an aquaponics system. Mrs. Eller is a master gardener at her home & serves as our school’s best plant expert. The students were thrilled to exam the plant parts, un-pot them to examine the root system, learn about plant food, & listen to all the work Mrs. Eller does to care for them daily. Lastly, she displayed pictures of all the different plants in her yard. Thank you Mrs. Eller for sharing your talents & knowledge with us!
