The Chillicothe R-II Board of Education approved a change order for the CES Expansion Project, certified the April 4, 2023 election results, and elected new officers this (Tuesday) morning during a special open meeting at 7:30 AM at the Administrative Offices, 2807 Hornet Road.
The approved change order for the CES Expansion Project modified the contract with Lawhon Construction to reflect a substantial completion date of May 15, 2024 for the academic areas of the project; a substantial completion date of July 15, 2024 for the library area; and a substantial completion date of Aug. 2, 2024 for the kitchen area.
After certifying the April 4, 2023 election results, Laura Schuler, Board Secretary, administered the Oath of Office to re-elected Board members David Neal and Brice Walker, alongside new Board member, Allison Pickering.
Dr. Dan Wiebers, Superintendent, presented outgoing board member Lauren Horsman, with a plaque of appreciation for her service to the Board. Wiebers also presented Lindy Chapman with a plaque commemorating her two years as Board president.
The Board elected the following members as officers: Clint Williams, president; Brice Walker, Vice President; Bill Hayen, treasurer; and Laura Schuler, secretary.
