CHS FCCLA and Key Club hosted the annual Turkey Trot the day before Thanksgiving break to raise funds for YMCA backpack buddies! Students paid $3 to ‘trot’ out of Advisory class and hang out with friends. FCCLA and Key Club members also held a bake sale during the event. The student body raised a RECORD BREAKING $400! The money was presented to YMCA Program Director, Shawn Hurtgen. Pictured left to right are Shawn Hurtgen, Gracelyn Bently, Marilyn Mercer, FCCLA president Carol Minor, Key Club Secretary Caylee Anderson, and Key Club Sponsor Rachael Wheeler. Special thanks to FCCLA advisor, Mrs. Kristy Christy for helping make this event such a huge success! We love our community!!
