They were identified doing the following; Maci Stover -Maci makes sure chairs are put up at the end of the day and today, she put up about 5 chairs from students who were absent. She is so kind! Trevor Peniston -Trevor is always so kind and respectful to others. He saw Maci putting up other people's chairs at the end of the day and jumped in to help her. I appreciate it! Lainey Thompson -Lainey always volunteers to help during her study hall. She delivers books to teachers and students, takes papers to the office, and helps with other tasks as needed. She also pops the popcorn for tutoring every week. Joel Edwards -Joel found a wallet on my classroom floor that had been dropped by a student the previous hour. The wallet contained a debit card and a credit card. He promptly turned it in to me so it could be returned to its owner. Stephen Parkes -Right at the last bell of the day, a freshman dropped her glass water bottle in the hallway outside my room, where it shattered. Stephen immediately started warning people to steer clear of the broken glass and began picking up the pieces.

CHS C Club held ‘James Beemer Day’ on January 25. All students and staff were encouraged to wear their letter jackets in honor of Mr. Beemer on the sixth anniversary of his passing. He helped countless students and young adults get fitted with letter jackets and tuxes. He was a pillar of the Chillicothe community and a positive influence on everyone he met. If you would like to donate to the James Beemer fund, an ongoing charity that assists students financially who may not have the ability to afford a new jacket, patches, or suit rental, donations may be brought to Rachael Wheeler at Chillicothe High School. Make checks payable to James R. Beemer Memorial Fund.
