We are continuing the process at Chillicothe High School of working toward improving our overall ACT scores. Chillicothe High School provides an extensive one-day free ACT Prep workshop for students who are taking the ACT in October and February. These are held one week before our students take the ACT on the national testing date. Chillicothe High School students that are juniors and seniors currently take an ACT practice test in core content area classrooms during a 10-14 day window before the set national ACT test date to prepare for the challenge ahead of them. After these practice tests are administered in each content area, teachers go over strategies to improve their ACT test-taking abilities, the timing of how long it may take to complete specific portions of the ACT test, observations on what type of questions they will be asked when they take the ACT, and discuss solutions with teachers about the types of problems and content they observed when taking these section practice tests. Over the last four years, the Chillicothe High School composite score continues to rise. Students at Chillicothe High School have surpassed the state and national averages. The gap, or margin of excellence that Chillicothe High School students achieve, continues to widen in comparison to state and national averages. The state composite score is currently 20.7 and the national composite score is 20.6 with Chillicothe High School students achieving at their highest level in years with a composite score of 21.3. Jaxson helped another student late one evening trying to jumpstart the student's truck that wouldn't start. Jaxson stayed with the student until the student's parents arrived late in the evening at the CHS parking lot.

Isaac Hand - Before the 3rd hour started (Isaac is my 3rd hour), Isaac helped students from the 2nd hour to finish cleaning up and putting away supplies from an activity we had done in the 2nd hour. Isaac even wiped down the counters that students had been using.
Mason Meservey - Mason brought another student's car keys along with several dollars in cash to the administration when he found it in the gym.
Ciara O'Neal - Ciara noticed that a student had spilled a drink on the floor and offered to clean it up. Thanks, Ciara😊

Friday evening seats for Annie are sold out, but 80 seats each remain for Saturdays shows at 1:00 and 7:00. $15 Tickets can be purchased at gate 30 minutes before curtain.
50 tickets remain for tonight's "Annie" production presented by the CHS Players in the Performing Arts Center. Gate opens at 6:30 p.m.
Boys tennis for today at Savannah has been postponed and moved to April 14th
Senior Moms! The final meeting for Senior Breakfast is this evening, March 25th at 5:30 p.m. in the high school library. The Senior Breakfast is a CHS tradition sponsored by the Senior Moms. It will be Friday, May 7th, at the United Methodist Church Christian Life Center. Sign-up sheets will be available for those willing to help or donate items and monetary contributions will also be accepted.

Gracie Sims - At breakfast, a box of Reese's pieces accidentally tipped over. Gracie saw the box spill and jumped up from another table to pick up the fallen candy. She had the whole mess taken care of before the two boys who caused the incident even noticed.
Carly McMahan - I had stopped in to talk to Mrs. Surber and forgot my stack of copies in my room. Carly tracked me down between classes and got them to me.
