College & Career Night was a big hit last night at CHS! There were 89 students, 105 guests, and 35 colleges & career representatives in attendance.






The College and Career Fair has begun this evening at Chillicothe High School. Over 36 vendors are present to talk about your son or daughter's future college, university, or occupational career choices. The event runs until 8:00 p.m. in the CHS commons. This event has been organized by long-time College and Career Readiness counselor Mrs. Cindy Baker.

These three young men volunteered to do the JV football chain gang on Monday night after their football practice after no one in the crowd was available or willing to do it.



Congratulations to the Chillicothe girls tennis team on winning their fifth district team title in a row! Hornets on Top!


Congratulations to Jasiah Howe and Urijah Hunt, they are R.A.K.E. award winners. They were identified as doing the following;
Jasiah Howe - Jasiah saw another student sitting by himself at lunch outside and went over and talked to him.
Urijah Hunt - Urijah loaned his calculator to a student who did not have one for the test. He made sure to ask me to clear the memory from the calculator before giving it to the student. Not only was he kind, he was academically responsible as well.

The District's Counseling Team is working on promoting healthy living throughout the school year. Each month will have tips to help students & families create healthy habits. Congratulations to the Chillicothe Lady Hornet softball team! With the 4-1 win over LeBlond this evening, they have secured their fourth MEC conference softball title in a row!


Heads up! Chillicothe High School is hosting a College & Career Fair on Wednesday, October 4th in the HS commons from 6:30 - 8 p.m. Students and parents/guardians of students in grades 9-12 are invited to attend.


It's National Custodial Appreciation Day and we'd like to give a huge shout-out to our custodians, who work hard everyday to keep our buildings clean for our students and staff. Thanks so much for all that you do!

Congratulations to the CHS football team for earning a victory over Lafayette 79-38 for Homecoming 2023. Congratulations to Silas Midgyett for breaking the all-time Chillicothe High School single-game rushing record by rushing for 474 yards on 31 carries. Thanks to the community and all of the fans who came out and supported the football team with a packed house.


A big "Thank You" to all CHS retired administrators who live in and near Chillicothe who served as Grand Marshals for the 2023 Homecoming festivities. We appreciate your many contributions and years of service.
