Landen found a wallet on the ground outside that was wet and had obviously been outside for quite some time. Landen handed the wallet into SRO Mike Lewis with all of the original money inside and it was returned to the rightful owner.

There were many student questions as I walked around the classroom helping students practiced a technique we had just learned. Shayden had his work mastered and voluntarily got up and began going around helping tend to students with questions. He did a great job explaining and helping his classmates.

During lunch, Carter found $20 on the ground under the lunch table near his seat. Carter knew who usually sat in the same seat during the previous lunch shift and returned the money to the rightful owner.

CHS after school tutoring is offered every Wednesday from 3:15-4:45 p.m. in the CHS library after school. If your son or daughter wants or needs extra help in a particular class, they are welcome to attend. Social distancing among students will be observed in the library.

Sawyer helped pick up trash after the lunch shift was over without being asked to do so and it helped the custodians out tremendously!

Both of these students did so with an eagerness to volunteer and do something nice for the school and the veterans. If you see Megan or Trey, then please commend them. The Chillicothe R-II School District will be hosting the 29th annual Academic Achievement Reception, on Thursday, November 5, 2020, in the Performing Arts Center at Chillicothe High School. The reception will be spaced out in three different groups or grade levels at three different times due to COVID. The sophomore class will be honored at 5:30 p.m., the junior class will be honored at 6:30 p.m., and the senior class will be honored at 7:30 p.m. in the PAC. The reception is sponsored by the school district along with several service organizations and businesses in Chillicothe. The sponsors feel that academic excellence should be recognized just as we recognize other achievements.
We regret that the entire family cannot join honorees for this reception as there is a limit of two guests per student due to COVID and seating restrictions. Please bring the three tickets included in this letter to the reception so the honoree student and their two chosen guests may enter into the PAC. Desserts will be provided in the CHS commons for each class of honorees after their ceremony during the designated times. We highly recommend that everyone in attendance please wear a facemask and socially distance in family groups in the PAC. This is a special occasion for our students and parents; we encourage everyone to please dress accordingly.

Gauge Chenet - I was leaving school Friday afternoon when I saw a car pulled over on Hornet Drive by the teacher's parking lot. Gauge noticed one of the Hornet flags had fallen down and was lying on the ground. He asked his car to stop so he could get out and put the flag back up. THAT is HORNET PRIDE!
