At lunch, Aliyah Briner picked up trash that had fallen out of the trash can. The trash wasn't hers, but she voluntarily picked it up.

Congratulations to Cooper Murphy and Skylar Stover, they are the R.A.K.E. award winners for today. They were identified doing the following recently-
The day of the homecoming pep rally at the stadium, Skylar Stover carried Hudson Corzette (who was in a cast) all the way from the high school to the stadium, piggy-back! Cooper Murphy carried him half-way back before Hudson hitched a ride on a wagon! It was heart-warming to see these boys treating their classmate with care and compassion!!

When entering the building this morning, Cameron saw me behind him and stopped at the door to hold it open for me. With his band instrument, soccer backpack, and school bag, I am pretty sure he needed the door held open for him, instead:). Thanks, Cameron! You are a gentleman Hornet.

Congratulations to Cooper Clariday, Gage Leamer, and James Mathew, they are the R.A.K.E. winners for today, yesterday, and the day before. They were identified doing the following-
James Mathew - James took a leadership role in the Homecoming float and made sure to follow instructions given regarding the cart and cleanup. He was only 1 of 3 freshmen that made sure everything was taken care of and I appreciate him!
Gage Leamer- Gage quickly jumped up to carry a box of books to my car that I had loaded far too heavy. I was rattled and grateful for his considerate help.
Cooper Clariday - Cooper ran to my rescue to help me pick up my bags and water glass that had fallen to the ground. That is kindness you don’t see every day. Thank you, Cooper!

CHS after school tutoring is offered every Wednesday from 3:15-4:45 p.m. in the CHS library after school. If your son or daughter wants or needs extra help in a particular class, they are welcome to attend. Social distancing among students will be observed in the library.
CHS Key Clubbers cleaned up Simpson Park on this beautiful morning! We were able to span the entire park in about an hour! #serviceleaders

Volleyball tonight will be JV and then V games only vs. Brookfield. It is Senior Night for the volleyball team.
Boys soccer at Lafayette and softball at home vs. Lafayette has been postponed for this evening.
All other events are still on as of right now at 11:00 a.m. Softball will play Hamilton in place of Lafayette this evening at 4:30 p.m.

CHS softball at St. Joe Central at Noyes at 10 am tomorrow, August 29th, 2 immediate family members only allowed per restrictions at St. Joe Central, masks are required in St. Joe.
CHS dual credit payments are due to CHS by September 3rd. All dual credit applications must be turned into the Guidance Office before school tomorrow, Friday, August 28th.
