Chillicothe Middle School will be moving to a hybrid learning model starting Monday, October 5th, for a span of 2 weeks. Students with primary parent last name A-K will attend in-person classes on Monday and Thursday. Students with primary parent last name L-Z will attend
in-person classes on Tuesday and Friday. This model will allow us to maintain a distance of 6’ between students in classrooms, helping prevent contact tracing quarantine.
Also, during this time, all sports practices and contests will resume.
Update on CMS FOOTBALL:
Our game with Marshall for TUE, Oct. 6, has been cancelled because of THEIR Covid issues.

Chillicothe Middle School will continue to postpone athletic contests AND in-person practices until at least Monday, October, 5.
CMS- Lunch will be available this week , Monday-Friday, for pick up on the back side of CMS from 11:00-12:00 each day!

There will be no sports contest- Cross Country, Football, Softball & Volleyball, this week, Sept 21-25. Practices for the week will be virtual. If you are quarantined by the Health Department, you must get a doctor's note to participate in the virtual practices. You will receive Virtual Practice information from your Coach.
This weekend Chillicothe Middle School received notice of 3 additional positive student cases and 1 positive staff member. Due to the additional number of students and staff being quarantined, CMS will be starting 100% virtual learning on Monday, September 21, and will remain virtual learning for 2 weeks. During this time students will be expected to login to their classes via google classroom. If you have technology issues pertaining to wifi, please contact the school at 660-646-1916 starting Monday morning.
Additional information pertaining to sports activities and practices will be shared soon.
Due to the amount of positive cases and amount of quarantined students, we are making changes to the CMS Schedule. The changes will start on Monday, September 21.
The days students will be attending school will be based on the PRIMARY PARENT'S LAST NAME, as it is listed in our Student Information System.
Students with PRIMARY PARENTS LAST NAME A-M will attend on Monday and Thursday
Students with PRIMARY PARENTS LAST NAME N-Z will attend on Tuesday and Friday

REMINDER FOR SPORTING EVENTS: Attendance will be limited to immediate family members of the participants (parents, grandparents, guardians, siblings). Individual students will not be admitted. Fans (including any family members that are students) will be expected to sit with their families and maintain social distancing from other fans. There will be no student section.

Rules for volleyball games at Trenton:
All spectators will be required to wear masks while in the school building
Bleachers will be limited to every other row (with social distancing encouraged)
Concession stands will be limited to prepackaged items and bottled drinks only
Concession stand lines will be social distanced, and no eating areas will be provided
Any child not in high school must be accompanied by an adult and remain with the adult throughout the game
Due to a large number of student athletes in quarantine at CMS all activities, INCLUDING PRACTICE, for today, 9/14 & tomorrow, 9/15, are postponed. We will be working to reschedule these activities.
