Several retiring R-II staff members with a total of 224 years of experience in education were honored last (Tuesday) night during the Chillicothe R-II Board of Education's regular meeting. The meeting was held at the Jenkins Expo Center at the Litton Agri-Science Learning Center.
The retirees honored were: Kim Griffin, Jenny Hughes, Annie Shipp, Christine Jones, Pam Swift, Brad Cavanah, Jayme Caughron, Nancy Thorne, Carla Williams, Margie Albertson, Lila Moore, and Roberta Jones. Retiring staff members not present were: Jimmy Luzader, Cathy Gillespie, Doe Sperry and Leona Turner.
Board President Lindy Chapman, presented the honored staff members with a plaque of appreciation and 7th District State Representative Rusty Black was on hand to present a framed House Resolution.
Superintendent Dan Wiebers expressed his appreciation to the retiring staff members for their years at Chillicothe R-II. “These outstanding people have dedicated their time and talents in helping the students of this District learn and grow through the years. We are grateful for their service and wish them the best in their retirement.”
