The 5th graders participated in a Friendsgiving Project-Based Learning (PBL) unit that integrated reading, writing, math, science, and social studies while fostering teamwork and creativity. 5th grade students collaborated to research global harvest traditions, design a Friendsgiving menu, explore the science of cooking, apply math for budgeting and measurement, and celebrate through a culminating event that included food tastings, cultural displays, and reflections on gratitude. Today the 5th graders held their Friendsgiving event in the cafeteria and were able to taste test the foods they made for each other from every continent.
