Today our older Summer Journey students hosted a carnival for our younger students! They designed and prepared activities, gave prizes, and joined in the fun right alongside them. What a great example of leadership, teamwork, and community!

During an annual Continuous School Improvement Planning meeting, District staff, admins, Board of Education members, parents, and community members came together at the R-II Administrative Offices to kick off our “Portrait of a Graduate” work. Thank you for your support!



FCCLA members Kelly Hopper, Adrian Caselman & Adi Edds were 3 of 50 Missouri FCCLA members chosen to participate in the MO FCCLA Legislative Shadowing project in Jefferson City this year. All three were able to attend committee meetings, be announced on the House floor and see the government at work.

Summer School fun at CES today! Our older students are creating beautiful flower vases for an art project, and our younger kids are exploring their creativity using sidewalk chalk. What a great day of learning and smiles!




Let's celebrate our boys 4 x 400m relay team this morning! CHS' Luke Thompson, Josh Ojeaga, Brennen Fitzpatrick and Landon Longo finished in 8th place yesterday in the Class 3 State track meet! They've had a great season, breaking the school record many times! Way to go, boys!

NEW HIGH SCHOOL RECORD ALERT! Huge congrats to Brennen Fitzpatrick for a 6th place finish in the Class 3 Boys 400m run today with a time of 49.17!!! This breaks the old school record of 49.53 set by Jimmy Griesbach 20 years ago! WAY TO GO!!

We've got another STATE MEDALIST! Congratulations to Jayden Martin for his 6th Place finish in the Class 3 Boys Shot Put with a throw of 15.74m!!!! SO PROUD OF OUR HORNETS!

It's another great day for CHS track! CONGRATULATIONS to our 4 x 800m Girls who placed 5th at STATE with a time of 9:55.89! Way to go Lexy Smith, Isabel Nagel, Hope Donoho and Lydia Bonderer! We are so proud of you!

CONGRATULATIONS to CHS' Brennen Fitzpatrick for a 6th place finish in the Class 3 Boys Triple Jump of 13.25m today! WAY TO GO!!!!

Our very own Hope Donoho finished 7th in the Class 3 800m run with a time of 2:23.39 today! Way to go, Hope! We are Hornet Proud!
