On April 7, 2020, Chillicothe R-II patrons will consider an increase to the District’s operating levy. In an effort to educate voters about the levy issue, the Chillicothe Board of Education has planned two public forums which will be held on the following dates:
Wednesday, March 18th, 7 p.m. - Chillicothe High School Library
Monday, March 30th, 6 p.m. - Livingston County Library CourtRoom.
During the forums, R-II Superintendent Dan Wiebers will give a short presentation about the issue and then members of the Board of Education and Dan Wiebers will field any questions from those in attendance.
“We are hoping for a good turnout,” Superintendent Dan Wiebers said. He added, “These programs are designed to give everyone an opportunity to learn more about the issue so they can go to the polls in April and make an informed decision.”
Those who are unable to attend the forums may also email their questions about the proposed levy increase to Mr. Wiebers at the following address: dwiebers@chillicotheschools.org. You may also call the District office at 660-646-4566.
